A gift to the Redwood Area Education Foundation isn’t just a donation, it’s an investment in the students of our community. 

We are here to understand your giving preferences and philanthropy goals. Please know that your gift, of any size, can make a tremendous impact on the staff & students of the Redwood Area School District. Whether you choose to leave your gift undesignated, enabling us to meet the greatest need at the time of donation, or you choose to support a various program, anywhere from academics to athletics to various clubs…we will use your gift in the way that you intend!

To make an online donation, please visit our online donation page.  Online donations can be a one-time gift or a recurring monthly donation. Unspecified gifts will be used to meet the greatest need.   If you wish to specify an area of choice, you may select a specific area from a list of options.

Planned Giving

Work with your financial professional to identify what’s the best choice for your generosity.  Your Financial Advisor can discuss ways to take advantage of tax benefits when donating through various avenues such as:

  1. Qualified Charitable Distribution from IRA

  2. Donor Advised Funds

  3. Security Stock Gifts

  4. Sale of Grain or Other Commodities

Corporate Matching/Thrivent Choice

Does your current employer offer an employee matching benefit program?  Talk with your Human Resources Department to inquire about the potential opportunities.


Real Estate or Other Property

Real estate, such as residences, vacation homes or undeveloped land, can be an ideal option for donors to use in making a gift to the Redwood Area Education Foundation.  In most cases, the Redwood Area Education Foundation will use proceeds from the sale of the property to support the program designated by the donor.  Speak with your Estate Planner for more information.

Cash or checks are accepted.  Checks can be made payable to the Redwood Area Education Foundation.


Undesignated gifts enable us to meet the greatest need at the time of donation.  If you wish to specify an area of choice, please download and print our donation form and submit with your payment.

(Redwood Area Schools’ Staff Only)

Redwood Area School district staff have the option to donate via automatic payroll deduction.  Please complete this form and return to Jackie Ferrier in the Business Office.

Accumulative gifts of $500 or more are recognized on the donor wall located in
the entrance of the Redwood Valley
Middle School/High School complex.

Through your philanthropic giving, you can create a lasting legacy and help make the future brighter for students of the Redwood Area School District.  

Estate or Will

Leave a memory of life and a legacy within our district through your estate or will.  There are numerous tax and legal benefits to this opportunity.  Talk with your Estate Planner on how to best meet your philanthropic goals.  

Life Insurance Beneficiary Designation

Designating the Redwood Area Education Foundation as a beneficiary of your life insurance or retirement account policy is an easy way to make a gift to the Redwood Area School District.  You choose a designated percentage or the full value of proceeds to your policy.  Please contact your Financial Advisor or Insurance Agent to request their required forms.

The Redwood Area Education Foundation is a public charity which has exempt status under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Gifts to the foundation are tax deductible. Assets donated to the Redwood Area Education Foundation are professionally managed and carefully allocated by the Board of Directors. A professional audit is performed annually and is available for review.
